About Us
Intertechnic UK was established in 1997 by Peter and Helen Nunn operating as a training provider monitoring and developing best practice for vehicle refurbishment and as a supplier of specialist products for the Ford Direct used vehicle programme.
Intertechnic was retained by Ford to provide a training resource and to monitor suppliers to define an industry standard which would create a bench mark for used vehicles being marketed as Ford Direct through the franchised dealer network. The objective set by Ford was to develop a process of refurbishment techniques, products and quality control to achieve consistency in product presentation and deliver a cost effective solution. Quality was a prerequisite and had to be delivered within the established pricing structure which also had to be able to sustain a profitable operation for the suppliers.
To support the suppliers Intertechnic provided both structured and ad hoc training to maintain standards and develop best practice. The relationship with Ford Direct continued successfully until the end of 2006 when the oem restructured its used car programme strategy.
